The Czech Republic, a country consisting of three different regions with their own unique culinary backgrounds: Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. A country which was once a part of The Great Moravia, The Holy Roman Empire and The Austro-Hungarian Empire. A country which used to share its livelihood with neighboring Slovakia. A country which was first occupied by Nazis and then by the Soviets. A country which has transitioned through every form of government one could imagine. A country which has preserved the influences of its past in its cuisine which leads to what we understand today as, Czech food.
